New NVQ For E2E
Barnardos Palmersville Training will be offering a brand new NVQ in Horticulture from February 2005.

The Level 1 award will be of interest to anyone thinking of a career in gardening, landscaping or looking after parks and gardens.

North Tyneside E2E Programme Manager, Mike Johnson, is confident the new programme meets a very real demand from local employers. "There are no other providers offering a Horticulture NVQ in the area. With so many companies needing trained staff, we felt this was a great opportunity to help young people into work and serve the needs of the local economy at the same time."

Palmersville hope to introduce NVQ Level 2 in Horticulture once the Level 1 programme has become established.
