Head start for hairdressing learner

Lorrin Hollinshead, who joined the hairdressing programme at Palmersville Training in September 2008, has a head start on the path to becoming a qualified hairdresser.

Since registering for an NVQ in January, it has taken Lorrin only six months to achieve her Level 1 and to gain employment. Lorrin’s placement providers, Jazz Hair Design in Walker have been so impressed by her enthusiasm, excellent communication and customer services skills, that they have offered her full time employment.

Staff at Palmersville Training are delighted, but not surprised by Lorrin’s success. Lesley Humble (Training Supervisor) explained: “Lorrin has worked hard to arrange assessments in her work placement. We wish her all the best for her future career.”
